Steps Toward a People-First Street
Change doesn’t have to happen all at once. Project K-Shift supports a series of incremental incentives – small interventions that nudge our streets toward a safer, greener, more people-friendly future. These actions are inspired by successful street reclaiming projects around the world and adapted for Newtown, Enmore and surrounds.
Each one is a tactical urbanism tool – low-cost, often temporary ideas that test what’s possible and invite people to experience the street differently.
- Street-Level Changes
- Community-Driven Experiments
- Green & Slow Infrastructure
- Mobility & Traffic Experiments
Every one of these ideas can be tested, tweaked, and scaled – some take five minutes, and some take five months. What they all have in common is this: they shift the street, just a little, towards something better.
